A suggestion came to me few days earlier, request to discuss a little bit on the broadband service of Bandar Putra Permai 1, 2 & 3. Alright, here it goes.
Bandar Putra Permai’s broadband service is currently under the coverage of Streamyx. I’m not sure if there are other Internet Service Provider available at this moment.
As for the speed, I personally think that it is reasonable fast for the 1M, monthly RM88 package. I did a simply test in speedtest.net, and below is the result.

Internet Speed Test for Bandar Putra Permai
So far, there are no major problem encountered with the Streamyx service. However, it did happen some time where the port is having problem. What you need to do is just give them a call and the problem will be fixed shortly.
Other broadband users in Bandar Putra Permai, anything to share?
Updates on P1 W1MAX Coverage Area in Bandar Putra Permai (31 Mar 2009):
Bandar Putra Permai starts its new year 2009 with a new landmark, the Valencia Home Furnishing. Welcome to Putra Permai! The new furniture shop has decorated this area with the cool, black color building and also the lights. Isn’t this a good landmark when you are giving direction to Putra Permai in future?
It is located right before the entrance of Pasar Borong Selangor. If you are coming from LDP or Putrajaya, again you have to make a U-turn. If you are coming from the other side (from Jusco), it is on your left. Turn left at the Petronas junction and make another left turn to Valencia.

Came across this banner two days ago at the roundabout near Bandar Putra Permai Phase 1 & 2. Err, I guess MPSJ and the Zone 19 residential committee held this service centre as a medium for the people here to complain, or maybe I shall say ‘communicate’ with them. Anything to say?

Venue: Dr. George Lim Multipurpose Hall
Time: Monday – Friday (8.30am to 5.30am)

Maybe I have complaint too much about traffic light, but I have to bring out this one too.
When the authority decided to put a traffic light at the junction near Jusco, I guess everyone from the town’s right hand side residential area (same side as Pasar Borong Selangor) was happy with the decision. After all, they do not need to make a U-turn to reach Jusco or McDonald.
However, the happiness do not last long when the traffic light started to function. Some even started to yell at the light every time they are forced to stop due to the short duration of green light. To be honest, I was one of them
Not because I can’t wait for my turn, but the green light only last for 10 sec for this side. Why can’t the authority lengthen the duration, at least same as the other 3 directions.
The cars coming from this direction is increasing. If the authority get our feedback, please do us a favor. We need longer time.
Before Jusco is completed, non-residents who came to Bandar Putra Permai are mostly heading to Pasar Borong Selangor. Even nowadays the market is still attracting people from Putrajaya, Cyberjaya, Serdang, Puchong and many more. You can get fresh vegetable, fish and meat here at a cheaper price. For family who cook daily, you might want to pay a visit to Pasar Borong Selangor.
The market is having its peak hour in the morning and night time. I would say you could get fresher stuffs during these time. Plan your time because it is not free to enter the premise. The entrance fees is RM1.
How to get to Pasar Borong Selangor? Refer to the map below.
Do not laugh when you see my post title. I’m not sure if you have such experience but I’m pretty sure that residents in Bandar Putra Permai should know what I mean. If you are heading to Bandar Putra Permai from Putrajaya or Puchong, you will have to pass the downs lope before come to the traffic light.
I guess it is normal reaction to speed up a little bit when there is a green light. But I advice you not to do that at this Putra Permai down slope traffic light. It is just simply because there are some selfish people making their U-turn at this traffic light. If they can make their turn fast, I guess it is still reasonable for us to slow down a little bit. But the problem is, there are many cars coming from the opposite direction (from Jusco direction). And cause these cars have to stop at the traffic light, blocking all the cars heading to Putra Permai at the down slope while the light is green.
Why complain there are many cars from the opposite direction and you can’t make the U-turn? Of course you can’t because IT IS ILLEGAL to make a turn there. It is not difficult to go further and make your turn at the ready U-turn in front of the Pasar Borong Selangor.
Save your life and save others.
